Fall & Festive Espresso Martinis by our lunacita @aceatthebeach

Espresso Martini Cocktail Recipe for Christmas

As the days grow shorter and the wind blows colder, my favorite cocktail of all time becomes the perfect pick me up to sip with friends wrapped in a blanket on the porch.

A combination of espresso shots from my favorite coffee shop and a shot of vodka from my favorite distillery, espresso martinis are a unique treat that I came to love when I lived over in Sydney.

There are many ways you can make this caffeinated concoction, and thankfully more and more bartenders are learning how to mix it here in the states. Below I've detailed my favorite at home recipe, but try experimenting and mixing and matching your favorite espressos and vodkas to see if you can find your perfect combo.

    Espresso Martini Recipe for Christmas

    Ingredients:

    2 oz. of vodka

    1/2 oz. of simple syrup

    1/2 oz. of coffee liqueur

    1, 2 or 3 shots of espresso

As far as cocktails go, this one's pretty easy; just pour everything into a shaker with ice, shake it up and enjoy! The real fun comes in finding your perfect flavor balance. I love getting fresh espresso from my favorite local coffee shop, and pairing it with a vanilla vodka (Tru Organic is my go to) and shaking it until the mix is foamy. There's not a more delicious way to perk up before a night exploring a new city. I also love to put a few espresso beans on top for a fun instagram story! To make this drink a dessert cocktail, I cover the martini rim in brown sugar...mmmm. It adds a new unique flavor to the drink.

I hope you enjoy your energizing and delicious drink, be sure to tag @aceatthebeach and @luna.androse when you decide to make your next batch - we'd love to share your snaps!

    Xoxo,

    Ace
