October 26, 2018 1 min read...let's do it!

I recently found this delicious recipe over on my friends blog 'Ashleigh Jade' and couldn't wait to try them. I'm a sucker for a good bliss ball and these Beetroot versions did not disappoint! They're healthy, look pretty spesh and totally more-ish. Get ready to get some super red hands & try this epic Bliss ball recipe out. (And head over herefor more of Ash's delicious recipes).

Beetroot Bliss Ball Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 medium size beetroots (peeled, roughly chopped & steamed)
  • 4 mejool dates
  • 2 cups dessicated coconut & additional for rolling
  • 70g your choice of protein powder (optional)
  • 70g raw cacao powder
  • 1 – 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • Dash of cinnamon

Preparation:

  1. Place beetroot in bowl and blitz until finely chopped
  2. Scrape down sides and add dates. Blitz again
  3. Add remaining ingredients and mix until well combined
  4. Spoon out and roll into balls rolling each ball into any coating you choose – more protein powder or coconut
  5. Refrigerate and serve

Not such a big Beetroot fan but keen for the extra Iron & Zinc? Just use a little less and throw in an extra date / little more Cacao. These little morsels are delicious, healthy and totally more-ish. They're also perfect coming into the Christmas season as a little gift for your family & friends! Wrap them up in a cute Beeswax Cover and there you go.

I'd love to see what you think of these once you've tried them out too. Feel free to leave a comment below or tag us in your photo's on social media at @lalunarosedesign.

Happy Beeting my friends! x

Luna & Rose Christmas Plastic Free Packaging Gift IdeasI know. We hate the excess of packaging too. That’s why all of our packaging used to create, ship and protect our items at Luna & Rose is done to the absolute minimum and is completely sustainable and biodegradable.
